On the north bank of the Navesink River in Middletown, NJ the client wanted to replace an existing 100 year old house. The challenging site is very narrow at the road side and widens as it gets to the river bank, but also sharply drops off to the river. The house opens up on the river side to provide fantastic views for all of the living areas on the main level. In addition, all four bedrooms have a view over the river. Three bedrooms also have private terraces to take in the views. The client requested to maintain the shore colonial style of architecture.
